COURSE DETAILS:

The evolution of science and technology, manipulation of genomes has taken centre stage for solving the problems related to remedies for health issues, food insecurities, and improving the environment. Traditional ways of treating diseases will not stop of a large number of deaths occurring across the globe due to communicable and non-communicable diseases. Genomic data analysis enables understanding of interaction of genes and proteins in animal, plants and microbes. The course provides an overview of the genetic engineering principles and applications. The course also covers tools and technologies for manipulation of genes and genomes.

COURSE OBJECTIVE:

The course provides an introduction to molecular genetics its history and events which led to the evolution of this science.
